3rd Annual Crawfish Cup

In just 12 days the Tigers will be hosting the Dallas Magpies for the 3rd Annual Crawfish Cup. The Tigers are 0-2 in the Crawfish Cup and will be looking for a victory to win the prestigious Crawfish Cup from Dallas. After a loss to Dallas earlier in the season, the Tigers have tweaked skills, worked on weaknesses, and are sure to give the Magpies trouble. Be sure to get to the field early, as seats will fill quickly. This game is to be a real 'ripper'.

After game festivities will once again be held at Chelsea's Cafe from 5-9pm. Bring your girlfriend's, boyfriends, mates, aunts, uncles, grandkids, cousins, etc. LADIES ONLY $1!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also at the aftergame festivities, the coveted Marc "Chopper" Read Chopper Mo' award will be handed out for the best Chopper Mustache. Last year's winner was Fit Mick, but it looks like myself, Girthy, and some of the young lads look to take the award this year. Click here for a pic of Fit Mick from last year.

Mickey Kleinhenz now a Revo!!

The Tigers are very excited to now have representation on the US Revolution squad. Mickey "Fit Mick" Kleinhenz is the first Tiger selected to be on the Revolution. Fit Mick will represent the US in the 2008 International Cup to be held in Melbourne. Fit Mick has shown great leadership and skill on the Tigers and is sure to be a great assest to the Revolution. Good Onya Mick!

Well lads, the time is near to start stretching and warming up for another Aussie Rules  Football season. I'm expecting that you've all recovered from your scrapes and bruises, and you're now hungrier than ever NOT to repeat last years win/loss record.

Our first official training session for this season will be Tuesday, Feb 12th at 630pm at Highland Rd. Park (field #5) with a BBQ kick-off beforehand on Sunday, Feb 10th at 3pm at the LSU Parade Grounds. Be prepared to cry and moan (and I don't mean the noise J.J. makes when his Mrs. from Nashville is on top) because we have our "conditioning Guru" Hatem for six weeks to "bust our balls" in preparation for our first game of the season against Dallas (in Dallas) on Sat, March 29th..

Yesterday was an exciting day at the LSU student organization fair. Many flyers and handshakes were generously handed out, with an enthusiastic invite given to learn "Aussie Rules" this Sunday at 3pm at the LSU Parade Grounds. There were many interested folks that wanted to come down for a kick this Sunday, so do your best to make it, and help introduce this great game to potential B.R. Tiger players for 2008.

See ya Sunday at 3pm.

Cheers,

Pat
